Sunny days and cold winds
The homeopathic remedy Aconite (full name Aconitum Napellus is also known as Monkshood or Granny's Nightcap).
Aconite is included in #homeopathic remedy first aid kits because it is extremely useful in illnesses where the symptoms come on suddenly. And especially if the person has been subject to those cold, dry winds that we tend to experience in early Spring. I have found it invaluable for those niggly colds that children tend to get when they have been playing out in the park, the sunshine clouds over and the temperature drops, leaving them exposed to the cold evenings. Later on in the evening when they are tucked up in bed they might begin to cough or develop a runny nose. When their sleep is disturbed it is the time to give the #homeopathic remedy Aconite as this can settle them back to a restful night's sleep.
Not only for coughs and colds but also for when someone receives unpleasant news that comes as a shock to them. That fight or flight situation where the nervous system gets shaken.
Fear is another time when Aconite is helpful. Children starting at a new school or moving home and having to make new friends. Also think of teenagers sitting their exams and the upcoming concerns they will have about making decisions on subjects they should take or further on in their school life - what next. Will they achieve the grades they want to go onward to university?
Think also about a driving test - we can all resonate with the nervousness before undertaking such an event. Or the fear of flying - I have given this remedy many times to clients who have issues with nervousness and anticipation.
Aside from fear the other symptom that a person might exhibit is restlessness and excitability. The fears they express can seem unreasonable to others but their fears can be due to an incident in the past that has impacted on them. They can be oversensitive to light and noise and have a fear of crowds.
Given at the first stage of inflammation or fever Aconite can be amazing in its action.
There are a number of homeopathic remedies that can help you combat those winter coughs, colds and chills and it's worth visiting your homeopath who will take detailed notes and with the aid of homeopathic remedies help to optimise your health
